The Women for Women foundation, a small NGO, focuses on providing medical assistance to Nepalese women. This volunteer project was initiated by female family doctors who were concerned about the health of women in Nepal.
The assistance places the accent on pelvic floor problems, in the area of treatment and (scientific) research. Prolapses occur frequently in Nepal. This substantially restricts women in their daily activities.
Women for Women only works with volunteers (medical/ paramedical). These are unpaid volunteers who pay their travel and accommodation costs themselves.
Two vital aspects make or break this humanitarian project. On the one hand, personal effort is required on site: help from doctors and healthcare workers who are willing to make their time and money available. On the other hand, we are faced with the fact that we have to acquire funds for the projects.
To continue this work, we hope to be able to count on existing and new sponsors. Everyone's financial support is welcome and will be well spent. If you want to make a donation or become a permanent sponsor, see elsewhere on this site.
If you would like to accompany us to Nepal, look elsewhere on this site. We need family doctors, gynaecologists, assistant gynaecologists, doctor's assistants and nurses for this work. We go to Nepal twice a year for two weeks. You can download a provisional application form.
Sponsor our Foundation. The form can be found elsewhere on this site. Every gift, however small, is welcome!
Many thanks, on behalf of the women of Nepal!
